Recommended add-on · for any plan
A handwritten letter from Ken, in your mailbox
Photos are great, but a real letter from Japan is special. Add this to any plan, and every envelope I send you has a brand-new letter I write only for you, plus the paper originals of my replies.
Recommended add-on
$15 per envelope
Every envelope = 1 brand-new letter from Ken + up to 10 of my reply sheets. Any plan, any country.
What’s in the letter?
- A letter only for you, written by hand in Japanese at your level, with furigana.
- What I noticed about your Japanese, and what to try next.
- A little about everyday life in Japan: the season, the food, small things you won’t read in a textbook.
- Every envelope has a different letter. 3 envelopes = 3 letters.
How many envelopes, how many letters?
| Example | Envelopes = letters from Ken | Reply sheets | Mail cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trial | 1 | 1 | $15 |
| 5-exchange pack, all at the end | 1 | 5 | $15 |
| 10-exchange pack, all at the end | 1 | 10 | $15 |
| 20-exchange pack, all at the end | 2 | 20 | $30 |
| Daily plan (30 days), all at the end | 3 | 30 | $45 |
Each envelope has a different letter from me. You can also send only your favorite replies: for example, from a 10-exchange pack, just the last one, with a letter: 1 envelope, $15.
How it works
- Choose “Yes! Add a letter from Ken” on the order form, or ask below if you already have a plan.
- After you pay, I ask for your postal address by email. It is used only to send your letters.
- You tell me when to send: as you go, or all together at the end.
- I post them from Japan by international airmail. Delivery usually takes 1–3 weeks, depending on your country.
- I keep a photo of every letter, so you never lose a reply, even if the mail is slow.
Why up to 10 reply sheets per envelope?
Japan Post prices airmail letters by weight. My letter, 10 reply sheets on A4 or Letter paper and the envelope stay in the first weight step for every country. More sheets would cost more postage, so each extra 10 sheets is one more envelope at $15, and one more letter from me.
Ordering a new plan?
Just choose “Yes! Add a letter from Ken” on the order form. No need to ask first.
